Ipad paintings

January 22nd, 2012

Finally got around to buying a decent painting app on my ipad as previously messed about with simple iphone painting apps but didn’t light my fire until recently. I’ve been using Brushes on an ipad2 with a Griffin stylus and it’s lots and lots of fun. Once you get used to the controls you can create really quickly and work within it’s initial limitations. I’d like to try out some different apps just to get a taste of what you can do as I’ve seen some incredibly impressive work created on ipads.

I’d really recommend exploring this more if you own an ipad.

Anyway, here’s a link to the batch that I’ve been creating over the last few days and a few pics below.

Van AudiOrlax!

November 15th, 2011

Enormous thanks to the amazing David Cranmer for delivering big time on the Van Orlax custom synth! We hatched the plan some time ago and so happy with the results, it looks fantastic and sounds truly wigged and wonderful!

It’d be great to add this to a show or event and will be announcing anything planned as soon as it comes up. I’ll hand you over to David’s site to let him explain it a little further. Take a bit of time to check out his other incredible creations on his homepage.

Getting To Kernow You exhibition 29th Sept

September 17th, 2011

Happy to announce my first solo exhibition for some time. I’ve recently rediscovered painting landscapes, not that they aren’t present in so many of my work but this time I’ve turned the spotlight directly on the landscape. In particular, the Cornish coastline. Silas UK were kind enough to offer me some space on the walls of their London shop after seeing some of the pieces so I’ve turned them into a show. Along with a little something I bought from a car boot sale and have ‘modified’. That’s a bit of a surprise for the night, but just a small one.

This will be the official re opening of the shop as well so really looking forward to the evening.

The show starts on the 29th September at Silas Uk and runs until the 27th October.

Painting on board the HMS Belfast

September 14th, 2011

Really honoured to be involved in the fundraiser last night for Sea Shepherd on the HMS Belfast, painting with The Dead Sea Mob. Had a blast with the guys and was lucky to meet both Captain Paul Watson from the Steve Irwin ship and also Dave Brock from Hawkind! I recommend you take a look at the Sea Shepherd site to see the work they do protecting ocean giants from whaling fleets.

Live painting on HMS Belfast!

September 7th, 2011

Really happy to announce that I’ve been invited by the Dead Sea Mob to paint alongside them on top of HMS Belfast moored in London. This is a fundraiser for Sea Shepherd UK and the captain himself will be aboard amongst many others….. Take a look at their site to find out the amazing work they do. It’s a tickets only night and monies going to Operation Divine Wind, defending whales in the Southern ocean.
